This concise textbook is intended to serve as a general Introduction to electromagnetic theory for undergraduate students of electrical and electronic engineering. The authors’ aim has been to cover, the basic material required in the first two years of most courses without attempting to develop specialist needs, which are already well provided for in the existing literature.
The text is illustrated with examples of the use of electro- magnetism in calculations of direct practical interest. Problems, chiefly of a quantitative nature, have been provided for each chapter; in many cases answers are also supplied.
